Chelsea’s favourite candy man, Made in Chelsea star Jamie Laing, is set for the launch of his pop-up shop, Candy Kittens on Wednesday August 1 at 336, King’s Road. With live music from DJ Bip Ling, the cast of Made in Chelsea will also be there to show their support.
“I can’t wait for the launch” Laing enthused, “it is going to be beautiful, fun and sexy with my Candy Kittens working alongside the sweets. Make sure you head down or you’ll have to wait until we reopen for Halloween! Definitely too long to wait!”
The store will be open for business from Thursday August 2 for the duration of three weeks – that is plenty of time to get your paws on the wide selection of branded merchandise such as Candy Kitten t-shirts, pyjama bottoms, tote bags and beach balls to name a few items. There will also be a delightful array of confectionary and cupcakes to enjoy.
If you are a fan of the hit E4 reality show and have followed the storyline throughout series three – which saw heir to the Mcvities fortune Jamie develop the business from scratch – then you will be as excited as we are to sample the long awaited confectionary delights.
The shop window is a feast for your eyes, deliciously styled with hanging sweet jars filled with tasty treats. The shop floor even has a milkshake bar with velvet seating, decorated with lanterns and lolly-pop shaped trees to create a fun, summer time garden feel.
As you make your way downstairs, you will be in for another surprise. Complete with a luxury bed, supplied by Marshall and Stewart which is also on the King’s Road, the basement area has been transformed to replicate Jamie’s bedroom. Fans of Jamie Laing and Made in Chelsea will be delighted to find photographs from Jamie’s childhood as his brand creation is brought to life.
