Beauty should be less about striving for perfection, and more about enhancing what we already have.
“We are unique” say’s creator of Boudoir Lashes, Asma Docrat who encompasses this philosophy in her work as a highly skilled beautician: “All treatments should result in a natural, flawless finish,” she tells Chelsea and Country, after all, why would we pay for false looking enhancements?
In her quest to achieve a natural, yet lustrous, full-lashed look, Asma has developed her own unique technique in the ‘Lash Perfect’ and ‘NovaLash’ systems of applying semi-permanent, individual eyelash extensions. Her revolutionary technique has attracted a few familiar faces, including Made in Chelsea star Rosie Fortescue and Da’Vine Joy Randolph of the hit Broadway and West End musical Ghost. Asma’s skills were also called on for a recent Stella McCartney event at the Connaught Hotel in Mayfair and at the National Wedding Show at London Olympia, where she worked as part of a team with Mariam Jensen, sponsored by Jemima Kidd and AirBase makeup – (note: by this point I cannot wait to sample these feather light delights) – “Make me beautiful” I say – and with BECCA London serving as a pleasant and intimate backdrop, I relax in the capable hands of Miss Docrat as she begins to work her magic on my lashes.
Being blonde is no easy feat when it comes to natural looking treatments. Finding the right eye-brow shade can be tricky, and over the years I have been tinted, plucked and poked at by several London lash-perts yet, I am still unhappy with my finds: too long, too thick, too curly. I have itched and scratched and pulled. This is it, I think.
An hour passes. Asma passes me a mirror. The lashes are in a word; perfect. Subtle, yet glamorous. Natural, yet full-looking. My blue eye’s appear wider and more prominent. Feather light, they feel like my own.
From providing lashes for ELLE at London Fashion Week, to working on makeovers for the Daily Mail, Asma’s expertise in creating beautiful eyes are in demand, and I could not recommend them more.
As an added bonus, Boudoir Lashes are offering Chelsea and Country readers an exclusive introductory price of £90. The lashes last up to six weeks, and are 100% waterproof.
